A Last Hoorah… Or it just bye for now? It's time to take a break

Wow it’s been an amazing couple of years on the site (from Tea Talks on blogger, to here and through to its current incarnation) and I’ve made so many wonderful people in the process… Writers, readers, bloggers, promoters. It’s been a rollercoaster ride. I’ve learned so much from all of you, published four books, shared some of my experiences with you, and hopefully we’ve learned together along the way. But like all good things, it’s sometimes time for things to come to an end and it’s time to take some time apart.
One of the things I have learned, in recent months in particular, is to regularly take stock of what’s working, what’s not and where priorities lie. With some, significant personal changes, I’ve found writing has been out in the back burner by health, time and frankly, marketing. It’s time to be a little selfish.  Over the next couple of weeks you will see fewer posts from  me as I fulfil my existing tour commitments, which I’ve managed to wrap up and schedule quite neatly. After then, I will be closing shop for a while. I’m sure I’ll be back at some point, maybe in a few months, maybe longer, while I focus on some other personal commitments. I hope that working on a novel will feature in there too.
Whenever I do come back I hope that you’ll still be following my journey and that we’ll get to spend some more quality time together.  Arrangements for my other social media platforms are being made but they are likely to be scaled back substantially, if not suspended for the duration. Twitter has already been suspended as its turned into a mammoth beast of a thing covering my personal life, professional one and my writing one a it’ too much and doesn’t meet my objectives right now. My Facebook page will also be shelved for the duration of my sabbatical. I’ll still stop by and share great content when it comes my way but there won’t be much in the way of original materialr on me – just a bit of supporting commentary and an occasional whimsie.
Till then, there’s a few more posts coming your way, then I’ll quietly make my excuses and leave.
You’ve been wonderful.
