Vampire #Christmas Advent: 18 December

There is more than a passing nod to some classic horror in the Sophie Morgan vampire series – primarily as I was raised on it. Much like Sophie and Julie Morgan, my mother and I spent many an evening through my teens watching what would be considered rather tame horror films now – although true aficionados will recognise them as classics.
One reference is to the Astoria hotel in Belgium – the location of the wonderful 1971 vampire film Daughters of Darkness. Kasper Andersen notes that he stayed in the hotel during his early travels around Europe as a vampire. I must also admit that there was something about the characters in the film which inspired Margeaux Renard.
