Cover Reveal: Relative Strangers

Cover Reveal: Relative Strangers

RS ecover.jpgIt’s with absolute delight that I can share with you the new cover for Relative Strangers, book one in the Sophie Morgan Vampire Series. The series has been picked up by Seattle based publisher Booktrope and will be available from the 9th February.
I have to admit that I’m delighted with the design work and the concept which their creative team has come up with. I’m also pretty impressed that I’ve managed to feed into this and re-edit with a new born baby (I had my offer from Booktrope a few days before he was born).
Tomorrow I will be revealing the cover for Death in the Family, the sequel and book two in the series.

The Blurb:
Meet Sophie Morgan… practical, Welsh, prone to occasional profanity, and seemingly a vampire magnet.
Sophie Morgan is 23 and has always done the right thing. She’s caused no stress for her family, worked hard through university, has taken a successful leap onto the career ladder and nurtured a reasonably healthy bank .  It’s no small surprise then when mini-break to Antwerp, she pursues a pair of thieves who steal her friend’s bag.  But this is only the start of her world being turned upside down.  Sophie soon learns that vampires exist, her neighbors back home aren’t what they seem and new boyfriends can be found in the strangest of situations.
Relative Strangers is the first in a new vampire series with a distinctly British flavor, but which will appeal to everyone.  Reviews call it “a vampire tale with bite”, with “brilliant characters that draw you in” and a very fresh take on the genre. Read it now to find out what reviewers are raving about.

Thank you Simon. I hope it’s a success too. I love the cover. You never know what you are going to get and whether it’s what you’d hope for. I love the fact that it’s not overtly a “vampire book” which it isn’t really – okay there’s vampires and a bit of scrapping about, but it’s not like most conventional books in the genre… at least that’s what I think and what people keep telling me. I think that’s a compliment too – at least that’s what I keep telling myself!

If that’s the case you should listen to your readers, it could appeal to more people for that reason. I wouldn’t read a,story on vampires after all the recent films that have been out. But I could read a story with vampires in it. 😃
